Carol Cambridge is the Founder of The Stay Safe Project, an international conference speaker & workplace violence expert. Highly profiled for her expertise, she is often sought by the media for comments when tragedies occur. Carol has been interviewed by: ABC, NBC, USA Today, CBC & as far away as News Channel Asia in Singapore.
As a thought leader, she wants people to move away from Fear Based Thinking, which is limiting, paralyzing and just plain negative! Instead, Carol shows people how to navigate fear & use their critical thinking skills to guide them through an emergency or a crisis.
Her career began as a communications specialist in emergency services and disaster preparedness with a Canadian Law Enforcement Agency. Over the last 30 years, Carol has taught close to half a million people, how to make smart, powerful, and life-saving decisions.
Known for her customization, compelling storytelling, and experiential training, Carol masterfully facilitates and delivers information in a way that people find intriguing!

David Bates joined Haskell in 2002 and serves as Vice President of Construction. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, he spent more than 15 years working on a vast range of large and complex project types in verifying capacities of field leadership. Recognized as one of Haskell’s most versatile construction professionals Bates oversees field operations for the company.

Tim has been in Human Resources and Organizational Development for 27 years. He has worked in Manufacturing, Health Care, Food Distribution and is currently the Human Resources Director for East and Westbrook Construction, a family-owned construction company that has been in business since 1977. Tim’s focus is on the growth and development of the organization as well as the men and women that make up the business.
He holds a Bachelor’s and Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University and a Doctorate from the University of Louisville.
When he is not growing East and Westbrook, you will find him spending time outdoors or with his family.

Chris Fadden is the current national director of Capital Projects/EPC at Ferguson Industrial. He is a graduate of the University of Mount Union. After spending two years in minor league baseball and semi-pro baseball, Chris started in the pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) industry in the warehouse, progressed up through sales, and served in several leadership positions. With 16 years of PVF distribution experience, his focus has primarily been on people development, P & L leadership, and major projects leadership.

Brian Gallagher MBA, CPSM has served in executive-level leadership positions with leading architecture, engineering, and construction organizations for over 30 years.
He frequently writes and speaks on leadership, strategy, construction, marketing, business development, site selection, foreign direct investment (FDI), and workforce development. He has authored over 200 articles and books. His books include Building Business with Social Media and Leading with Marketing, and he is a contributing author to Voices for Leadership. He was named a Top 20 Construction Influencer by Procore and a Top Construction Influencer by Let’s Build. ABC Carolinas awarded him the Kirby Award for his long commitment to the organization.
Gallagher holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Towson University and an MBA from Loyola University. He served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Marketing at Loyola University in Maryland. Gallagher completed Executive Education programs at Harvard Business School and the University of Maryland College Park. He is a certified Maxwell Leadership speaker, coach, and trainer, and a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) through the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). He has served in board leadership, chairman, and committee leadership roles with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Modular Building Institute (MBI), the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI), the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Program, the Southeast Construction Owners and Associates Roundtable (SCOAR), Clemson University Construction Science and Management (CSM) Program Industry Advisory Board (IAB) and other organizations.

Lance Simons joined Haskell in 1982 and serves as Vice President – Safety and Quality. He is responsible for driving safety and quality excellence throughout the Haskell organization. During his tenure Haskell has experienced significant growth and acquisitions while experiencing exceptional safety and quality performance. Lance currently serves on several industry organizations including Southeastern Construction Owner and Associates Roundtable (SCOAR) Safety Committee, and NCCER National Safety Committee.

Lisa is the Chief Learning Officer at NCCER, working with industry partners to shape the future of education for craft professionals and field leaders. She has spent her entire career in educational technology and product development, with a track records spanning over 15 years. During that time, she spearheaded initiatives at Pearson and Trilogy Education, driving innovation and quality in digital learning experiences, with a focus on driving career outcomes for learners.

Herb Strong is the Client Services Manager for HazTek Safety Management. Herb has earned his Masters of Science in Safety and Health Management and has a diversified background in the field of occupational health and safety, starting his career with DuPont and then working for OSHA, before starting his own Safety Services Company. Herb joined forces with HazTek Safety Management in 2012. His main focus is interacting with the Member Organizations and fostering relationships with the HazTek Client Base and still gets out in the field conducting training and field assessments. Herb has over 50 years of experience as a safety professional demonstrating competency in the fields of occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous waste management, and construction and general industry safety.

Chris is responsible to lead development and execution of strategic projects for Tampa Electric, Energy Supply. His portfolio currently includes construction of a new 72MW power plant at MacDill Air Force Base as well as a simple cycle conversion of Polk Power Station Unit 1. He is also currently developing an expansion of liquid fuel capability at Polk Power Station on Units 4 and 5.
Chris began his career as a co-op assigned to Big Bend Power Station in 2006. Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Florida in 2008 and hired on full time to Tampa Electric. He spent the early part of his career performing roles in project and power plant engineering. After 10 years performing these roles in operations, Chris took a new assignment in Generation Planning where he assisted with the Decision Analysis process on several strategic projects. Chris returned to operations after completing his master’s in business administration from the University of Tampa.
Chris has a wife, two young girls, and a chocolate Labrador Retriever named Hazel.
